Extra curricular activities 

We pride ourselves on the rich and varied extra curricular opportunities that our children have at SHS. We have an amazing range of clubs that happen before, during and after school. 

Clubs change on a half termly basis and are advertised to the children during formtime and through lessons.

Club 7

Description: Meet new friends, play board games and listen to music

History Flim Club

Description:  Students watch historical films and write reviews to check how historically accurate they are.

Coding and Robotics

Description: Students will built robots using Lego and programme their robots to accomplishing various tasks from moving about to pushing, pulling, lifting, and interacting with the environment using sensors. Some of the students will have the opportunity to compete in the Tomorrow’s Engineering Robotics Competition 2018-2019.

Science Club

Description: Students get the opportunity to carry out fun experiments that are different to those in lessons. Towards the end of the academic year, students can take part in the Great Science Share, where they showcase some of these experiments to relatives.

Drama Club

Description: Students enjoy interacting, communicating and developing their creativity. New skills and techniques are explored through drama games, improvisation scenarios and devising from a stimulus.

Production rehearsals will be on Tuesday and Wednesday after school in the main hall (after the audition process has been run)
