 Welcome to Sale High School

Dear all,

Sale High is a school going places. Over the last few years our school has gone from strength to strength and we are really proud of the hard work and commitment that staff and students have shown in creating the wonderful learning community you see today. This hard work has been rewarded with the excellent outcomes achieved by our students.  We have seen our results increase year on year with students consistently achieving strong grades.

Schools aren’t just about great results though. They are also about love and care and developing young people so they can become the ‘very best versions of themselves’. Mutual respect and a calm orderly environment allow everyone to learn. We strive to develop our young people so they are socially responsible and grow up to play an active and useful role in their communities.  Finally, we want to provide our students with rich experiences and opportunities through our clubs, trips and visits and our focus on leadership development.

I am enormously proud of our students and our staff. The last year has been difficult but our community has stepped up. Our overarching priorities currently are to keep everyone in our community safe and well and do all we can to continue providing a brilliant education to our young people.

Ordinarily, we would love to show visitors around on a normal school day, so they can see for themselves what a great school we have. Unfortunately, that simply isn’t possible at the moment. I hope that visiting our website and also looking at out virtual open evening presentation will give you a flavour of who we are. However,  If you are considering sending your child to Sale High School and have further questions, please do get in touch. Mr Scully, our head of Year 7 and Mrs Morley, our assistant head of year 7 and lead on transition will be more than happy to assist.

With very best wishes,

Jayne O’Grady
